Biogradska Gora National Park

The tropical forest, which covers 1,600 hectares of the park, is one of the only three remaining virgin forests in Europe. The national park is rich in biodiversity with more than 2,000 plant species, around 200 species of birds, 80 species of butterflies, and 350 species of insects. It is also possible to observe mammals such as wolves, bears, foxes, deer, squirrels and dormouse.
